  • Deepcool Ice Matrix 600 Heatsink Review
  • Deepcool's Ice Matrix 600 heatsink is a relatively flat profile tower cooler that stands 165mm tall, 70mm deep. It weighs upwards of 1100grams and is built with no fewer than six, U-shaped 6mm diameter copper heatpipes that wind their way from the copper base plate to the top of the 103mm tall aluminum fin stack. The heatpipes are lined up in a single row so closely that they almost span the entire 141mm width of the heatsink!

  • "The Matrix Has You"
  • We must confess we expected somewhat better results from the Deep Cool Ice Matrix 600 and the ThermoLab Trinity. Yes, each cooler copes with our six-core CPU working at 4.32 GHz and 1.4 volts Vcore, but this is no great achievement in our cooler tests. There are well over a dozen air coolers capable of that today, including cheaper ones like the Zalman CNPS10X Performa we’ve included into this test session for the comparison’s sake. The support for multiple platforms and the simple installation procedure of the Ice Matrix 600 and the Trinity do not constitute a special advantage today. The new coolers are not very quiet, either (but we must note that the Trinity is somewhat quieter than the Ice Matrix 600 at the same fan speed). And while the Deep Cool is more or less competitive in terms of pricing ($40), the ThermoLab with its recommended $52-58 seems to be a little overpriced. So, at this point we’d recommend you to consider other coolers which are available aplenty on the market. However, some users may want to buy one of these two products just to have a piece of the Matrix in their computers.

  • Deepcool Ice Matrix 600 CPU Cooler Review
  • The Deepcool Ice Matrix 600 has a high-end looks, but a mainstream performance. It looks very nice with its narrow design and the beautiful 140-mm blue rubber-cushioned fan. Installation was easy, and it is also a quiet cooler, just like other Deepcool coolers we tested recently. The Deepcool Ice Matrix 600 receives the Hardware Secrets Bronze Award, thanks to its good performance, low noise level, and great looks.

  • Deepcool Ice Matrix 600
  • If you're looking for great overclocking on a cooler than has a slim profile, you'll want to look to the Ice Matrix 600 without a doubt. Considering the Ice Matrix is scheduled to cost about $50 USD, it does very well in terms of thermal performance, it looks gorgeous and installation is a breeze. Gamers and overclockers alike will enjoy this cooler.

  • DEEPCOOL ICE MATRIX 600 CPU / PROCESSOR COOLER REVIEW
  • Deepcool's Ice Matrix 600, like its little brother the 400, is a great looking tower cooler that installs easily and comes with a quiet fan and a lot of nice accessories. It cools a bit better than the 400, but I expected a more significant performance increase. Granted, the 600 is very quiet, even at its maximum fan speed...
